GORENJE Overheat Protection Relay for GB/GBU/GBK/GBL Water Heaters, GBAPS

GORENJE GBAPS is a water-heater overheat protection device designed to interrupt the operation of the heating element if an excessively high temperature is reached inside the water heater.

The spare-parts catalogue specifies GBAPS as an overheat protection component for GORENJE GB, GBU, GBK and GBL series water heaters.

The overheat protection relay acts as a safety device in addition to the regulating thermostat. If normal temperature regulation fails and the temperature exceeds a safe limit, the protection device interrupts electrical power to the heating element.

If the overheat protection device is faulty, the water heater may fail to start heating even when the heating element and main thermostat are operational. Electrical testing is recommended before replacing the component.

Replacement must only be carried out after the water heater has been completely disconnected from the electrical supply. As GBAPS is part of the electrical safety system, installation should be performed by a qualified specialist.

Before ordering, it is recommended to check the exact water-heater model and the designation of the existing component. GBAPS is intended for compatible GB / GBU / GBK / GBL series GORENJE water heaters.
