ARISTON LYDOS PLUS 50 V 1.8K EN EU is a vertically wall-mounted electric storage water heater with a nominal capacity of 50 litres, electronic controls and intelligent functions designed to provide comfortable hot-water production while optimising energy consumption. LYDOS PLUS incorporates WaterPlus technology, designed to reduce the mixing of incoming cold water with the hot water already stored in the cylinder. Cold water is directed towards the lower section of the tank, helping to preserve the hot-water layer above it for longer. According to ARISTON, WaterPlus can provide up to 16% more usable hot water compared with a conventional water heater of the same nominal capacity.

The intelligent ECO EVO function learns the user's daily hot-water habits and adjusts heating cycles according to actual demand. This reduces unnecessary electricity consumption during periods when hot water is not normally required. ARISTON states that ECO EVO can provide up to 14% energy savings under suitable operating conditions.

LYDOS PLUS is equipped with a SHOWER READY function that informs the user when enough hot water has been prepared for the first shower. This makes it possible to start using hot water without waiting for the entire 50-litre storage tank to reach the selected temperature.

The electronic control system provides convenient water-temperature adjustment and operating information. The LYDOS PLUS range also offers weekly programming with up to two heating cycles per day, together with a Holiday mode intended for extended periods of absence.

For long-term durability, the storage tank is protected against corrosion by its internal protective coating and a large magnesium anode. ARISTON also specifies high-quality cyclopentane insulation, designed to limit heat losses and maintain stored-water temperature efficiently.

For the 50-litre model, heating time at ΔT = 45 °C is 1 hour 27 minutes. Maximum operating temperature is 80 °C, while standing heat loss at 65 °C is 0.99 kWh/24 h. The model has energy efficiency class B and an M load profile.
