HERZ FLOORFIX KOMPAKT underfloor heating control set for 1 loop, flush-mounted, 1810030

HERZ FLOORFIX COMPACT 1810030 is a flush-mounted control set designed for individual temperature control of one room and one underfloor heating circuit. It combines room-temperature control with return-temperature limitation, providing a compact solution for incorporating a single underfloor heating loop into a conventional heating installation.

The set includes the HERZ MINI thermostatic head 1 9200 60 for room-temperature control. Its setting range is 6–28 °C. The thermostatic head incorporates a liquid-filled Hydrosensor and automatic frost protection at approximately 8 °C. The desired room temperature can be adjusted without removing the decorative cover.

The underfloor heating medium temperature is limited by the HERZ MINI GS return-temperature limiter 1 9201 06. Its complete adjustment range is 25–60 °C, while the factory setting is limited to a maximum of 45 °C. The unit is supplied with a 45 °C target setting. The limiting pins may be repositioned if technically required, although settings above 45 °C are not recommended for underfloor heating.

The HERZ MINI thermostatic head controls the flow through the integrated thermostatic valve according to room temperature. The return-temperature limiter senses the heating-medium temperature returning from the floor loop and restricts the flow when the selected maximum temperature is reached. As the return temperature drops, the valve opens again.

For optimum performance, installation approximately halfway along the underfloor heating circuit is recommended. This results in approximately equal pipe lengths before and after the FLOORFIX unit and improves the response of the return-temperature control.

The unit is intended for flush mounting and is supplied with an insulating EPP installation box, mounting components and a white decorative cover plate. The cover measures approximately 170 × 160 mm. For convenient access, FLOORFIX COMPACT can be installed at switch height but must be positioned at least 20 cm above the finished floor level.

An integrated air vent facilitates filling and venting of the underfloor heating circuit. Connections are G 3/4 Eurocone. HERZ 1 6098 xx compression connection sets are ordered separately according to the pipe size used.

Current technical data specify a maximum heating flow temperature of 85 °C, maximum operating pressure of 10 bar, maximum differential pressure at the valve of 20 kPa and a nominal diameter of DN15. Maximum room heating load is approximately 1000 W.

Depending on pipe diameter and spacing, the maximum recommended underfloor heating circuit length is approximately 60–80 m, with a maximum heated floor area of approximately 8–14 m².

The system is particularly useful for renovation projects where a small underfloor heating circuit is to be integrated into an existing radiator heating installation, for example in a bathroom, kitchen or entrance area.
