HERZ DE LUXE TS-90 Thermostatic Valve, Straight 1/2", Matt Black, 1792349

HERZ DE LUXE TS-90 1792349 is a straight DN15 thermostatic radiator valve with an elegant matt black finish. It is designed for installation on the radiator supply side in hot-water heating systems and, when combined with a thermostatic head, automatically regulates the heating-water flow according to room temperature.

The valve features an M28 × 1.5 thermostatic head connection. It is designed for HERZ thermostatic heads with an M28 × 1.5 connection, including the matching matt black HERZ DE LUXE thermostatic head. The thermostatic head is not included with the valve.

The radiator connection is R 1/2" with a cone seal. On the pipe side, the valve features the HERZ universal connection with a special socket suitable for a 1/2" threaded pipe or a corresponding HERZ compression connection. With a separately ordered HERZ 6292 compression fitting, calibrated copper or soft-steel pipes can also be connected.

HERZ TS-90 is a thermostatic radiator valve without an integrated flow pre-setting function. During operation, the flow is regulated by the installed thermostatic head, which changes the valve opening according to room temperature and therefore controls the amount of heating water flowing through the radiator.

According to the official HERZ TS-90 DE LUXE hydraulic diagram for DN15 valves, the kv value is 0.15 m³/h at 0.5 K, 0.32 m³/h at 1 K, 0.46 m³/h at 1.5 K, 0.60 m³/h at 2 K, 0.75 m³/h at 2.5 K, 0.80 m³/h at 3 K, and 1.05 m³/h when fully open.

The thermostatic valve upper part can be replaced using the HERZ Changefix tool while the heating system remains filled and under pressure. This allows the thermostatic insert to be replaced or the valve seat to be cleaned without draining the complete heating system.

The spindle is sealed by an O-ring located in a replaceable brass chamber. The O-ring chamber can be replaced during operation, helping minimise maintenance requirements while ensuring smooth long-term valve operation. The corresponding HERZ O-ring set is 1 6890 00, and the replacement valve upper part is 1 6390 91.

The supplied protective screw cap can be used to operate the valve during heating-system installation and pipe flushing. After commissioning, the protective cap is removed and an M28 × 1.5 thermostatic head is installed.

The thermostatic valve is installed on the radiator supply side. The heating medium must enter the valve from the pipe or universal-connection side. For optimum room-temperature control, the thermostatic head should preferably be installed in a horizontal position.

The matt black HERZ DE LUXE finish is intended for visible radiator fittings and is especially suitable for black, anthracite and other designer radiators. Matching thermostatic heads, return valves and connection accessories are available within the HERZ DE LUXE range.
