PANASONIC Aquarea J 9 kW Monobloc air-to-water heat pump, R32, 230 V, WH-MDC09J3E5-1

PANASONIC Aquarea High Performance J Generation WH-MDC09J3E5-1 is a single-phase 9 kW air-to-water monobloc heat pump designed for efficient space heating, active cooling and domestic hot-water production when connected to an external DHW cylinder.

With the monobloc design, the entire refrigerant circuit is located inside the outdoor unit. No refrigerant pipework is required between the heat pump and the building; only the hydraulic heating circuit is connected.

The model is designed for a 230 V / 50 Hz single-phase supply and is suitable for new-build and energy-efficient homes, underfloor heating and low-temperature radiator systems.

At A +7 °C / W35 °C, heating capacity is 9.00 kW with COP 4.48. At A +2 °C / W35 °C capacity is 7.45 kW, while at A –7 °C / W35 °C it is 7.50 kW with COP 2.63.

At the higher W55 °C water temperature, heating capacity is 8.95 kW with COP 2.78 at A +7 °C and 7.00 kW with COP 1.80 at A –7 °C.

For an average climate, seasonal efficiency is SCOP 4.90 at W35 °C and 3.32 at W55 °C, with energy classes of A+++ / A++.

Heating operation is available between –20 and +35 °C outdoor temperature, while heating-water outlet temperature is adjustable between 20 and 60 °C.

The unit also provides active cooling. Cooling capacity is 9.00 kW with EER 2.71 at A35 °C / W7 °C and 9.00 kW with EER 4.25 at A35 °C / W18 °C.

The system uses R32 refrigerant with a factory charge of 1.3 kg, corresponding to 0.878 t CO₂ equivalent. The WH-MDC refrigerant circuit is hermetically sealed.

A variable-speed circulation pump with 39–108 W input and an integrated 3 kW electric backup heater are included. Heating-water flow at ΔT 5 K and W35 °C is 25.8 l/min.

The hydraulic connection size is R 1¼". An optional CZ-TAW1 adaptor allows connection to Aquarea Smart Cloud for remote control and maintenance.
