The Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-RZ50VU-SC / MUZ-RZ50VUHZ-SC is a powerful air-to-air heat pump designed for efficient heating and cooling of larger spaces in demanding Nordic climates. Heating operation is guaranteed at outdoor temperatures down to –35 °C, providing reliable indoor comfort even during severe winter conditions.
The unit delivers 6.0 kW nominal heating capacity, with a maximum heating output of up to 8.7 kW at +7 °C. It provides up to 7.0 kW at –15 °C and maintains up to 6.0 kW at –25 °C. A seasonal efficiency rating of SCOP 4.7 and an A++ heating energy class support economical year-round operation.
Nominal cooling capacity is 5.0 kW, with a capacity range of 1.4–5.8 kW. A SEER rating of 7.6 and an A++ cooling energy class help reduce electricity consumption during summer.
The system uses natural R290 refrigerant, which has an exceptionally low global warming potential and supports high energy efficiency with reduced environmental impact.
The advanced Plasma Quad Plus air purification system neutralises up to 99% of airborne particles, including PM2.5 particles, mould spores, allergens, bacteria, viruses and dust. The deodorising filter helps reduce unwanted odours, while Dual Barrier Coating protects important internal components from dust, grease and dirt.
The infrared 3D I-SEE Sensor monitors room temperature distribution and occupancy, automatically directing airflow where it is needed most. Double airflow vanes allow warm or cool air to be distributed in two directions simultaneously.
Optimised defrost technology enables continuous operation for up to 150 minutes, reducing heat loss and maintaining more stable heating performance in cold weather. The circulation and wood-stove mode helps distribute heat generated by another heat source, such as a fireplace.
The MELCloud Home application allows remote temperature adjustment, operating-mode control and system monitoring from a mobile device. Quiet mode can reduce outdoor-unit noise and switch off the indoor-unit display lighting and audible signals.
