ARISTON Magnesium Anode M5 Ø25.5×180 mm, TI-SHAPE 50/80/100, 977127

ARISTON 977127 is a magnesium sacrificial anode for electric water heaters, designed to protect the water-heater tank against electrochemical corrosion. During operation, the magnesium anode gradually wears away, helping protect the metal tank.

In the manufacturer's spare-parts documentation, this anode is specified for ARISTON TI-SHAPE PLUS EE 50, 80 and 100 litre electric storage water heaters.

A magnesium anode is a consumable component whose wear rate is affected by water chemistry, hardness, operating temperature and the intensity of water-heater use. Its condition should therefore be checked periodically.
