ARISTON Magnesium Anode M5 Ø25.5×230 mm, 993014

ARISTON 993014 is a magnesium sacrificial anode for electric water heaters, designed to protect the water tank against electrochemical corrosion. During operation, the anode gradually wears away, taking the corrosive effect upon itself and helping protect the metal tank.

The anode has a diameter of 25.5 mm, a length of 230 mm, and the original 993014 part uses an M5 mounting thread. The later ARISTON version 993014-01 is specified with the designation M5–M8.

This anode is used in a number of ARISTON electric water heaters, including selected PRO R, PRO1 ECO, PRO ECO EVO, VLS EVO, SG, TI and other models. Exact compatibility should always be verified using the specific appliance model or spare-part number.

A magnesium anode is a consumable component, and its service life depends on water chemistry, hardness, operating temperature and the intensity of water-heater use. Its condition should therefore be inspected periodically and replaced when required.

Timely replacement of a worn anode helps reduce the risk of tank corrosion and maintain the effectiveness of the water heater's corrosion-protection system. During servicing, the heating element, gasket and internal tank surface should also be inspected.

In the ARISTON spare-parts system, the later 993014-01 version has been superseded by replacement part 6501062700. Before replacement, both the part number and the Ø25.5 × 230 mm dimensions and mounting arrangement should be checked.
