KOSPEL GRW-6.0 heating element, 6000 W, 400 V, 6/4", with thermostat

KOSPEL GRW-6.0/400 is an electric immersion heating element with an integrated thermostat, designed for heating water in storage water heaters and domestic hot-water cylinders. Its rated heating power is 6000 W / 6.0 kW.

This GRW version is designed for a 400 V 3N~ electrical supply. KOSPEL's wiring diagram specifies three phase conductors L1, L2 and L3, neutral conductor N and protective-earth conductor PE.

The heating element is installed in the cylinder through a 6/4" / 1½" threaded connection. KOSPEL technical documentation specifies dimension A of the GRW-6.0/400 as approximately 460 mm, so the cylinder design, connection size and available installation depth should be checked before installation.

The integrated thermostat automatically controls heating-element operation according to the selected water temperature. KOSPEL specifies a lower thermostat setting of 9 ±6 °C and an upper thermostat setting of 75 ±3 °C for the GRW-6.0/400.

In addition to the operating thermostat, the unit incorporates an STB thermal safety cut-out. For the GRW-6.0/400 model, the manufacturer specifies a thermal safety trip temperature of 98 ±8 °C.

The heating element is designed to operate only while immersed in water. Before electrical connection, the cylinder must be filled with water and the threaded connection checked for leaks. The heating element must not be operated in an empty cylinder.

The GRW-6.0/400 can be used in cylinders designed for a 6/4" electric heating element and for which the manufacturer permits a 6 kW electric heating output. Compatibility with the specific cylinder should always be verified in its technical documentation.
