DRAŽICE 6422500 safety check valve for water heaters 3/4", 6 bar, with discharge outlet

DRAŽICE 6422500 is a safety check valve designed for the safe connection of water heaters to potable and service water systems. The valve combines the functions of a safety valve and a non-return valve, protecting the water heater against excessive pressure and preventing water from flowing back into the water supply system.

The nominal valve size is DN20 and the connection thread is G 3/4". The maximum permissible operating pressure is 0.6 MPa or 6 bar. If the pressure in the water supply system is higher, a pressure reducing valve must be installed upstream of the safety valve.

The safety valve releases excessive pressure generated inside the water heater as the water is heated. The manufacturer's specified safety overpressure is 0.63 ± 0.03 MPa. Water dripping from the safety valve during heating is normal because the volume of water increases as its temperature rises.

The integrated non-return valve prevents water from flowing from the heater back into the cold water supply if the pressure in the system drops. This ensures correct and safe operation of the water heater.

The valve is equipped with a water discharge outlet. A drain pipe can be connected to the outlet to discharge water released during heating. The drain must allow water to flow freely and the discharge path must never be blocked.

The maximum operating temperature is 90 °C. The safety valve can be periodically tested using its manual test mechanism. Regular testing helps ensure that the valve is not blocked by deposits and can discharge water freely.
