Wasinex DSK-1 is an electronic water-pump controller designed to start and stop a pump automatically according to pressure and water demand in the water-supply system. When a tap or another outlet is opened and system pressure drops to the controller's starting threshold, the unit automatically starts the pump. When water demand stops, the controller automatically stops pump operation.

The DSK-1 is intended for single-phase water pumps with a maximum power of 1.1 kW and a maximum rated current of 10 A. Depending on the version, its rated supply voltage is 110 V or 220 V, with a frequency of 50/60 Hz. Versions intended for European water-supply systems operate on a 220–240 V supply.

The controller provides automatic protection against dry running. If the water supply is interrupted or the controller does not detect the required water flow, the DSK-1 automatically stops the pump, helping to protect it against damage caused by running without water. A forced-start function is also provided, allowing the pump to be activated manually during initial commissioning or system testing.

Wasinex DSK-1 is available with different starting-pressure settings of 1.2 bar, 1.5 bar or 2.2 bar. On the adjustable DSK-1 version, the starting pressure can be adjusted during installation. Depending on the specific version, the adjustment range may be 1.0–2.5 bar or 1.5–3.0 bar. For this reason, an online-store specification should state the actual configuration of the particular product rather than combining all available DSK-1 versions into one specification.

Maximum permissible system pressure is 10 bar. Maximum ambient temperature is +40 °C, while the maximum permitted liquid temperature is +60 °C. The controller has an IP65 protection rating, providing a high degree of protection against dust and water according to its enclosure classification.

The DSK-1 uses G1" male hydraulic connections. It is installed in the water-supply system between the pump and the consumers and combines automatic pump operation with dry-running protection in a single compact controller.
