ITALTECNICA PM/5 ML pressure switch for water pump, 1–5 bar, 220–230 V, 1/4" male thread

ITALTECNICA PM/5 ML is a mechanical pressure switch designed for automatic control of water pumps and booster systems. It automatically starts and stops the electric pump according to the pressure values reached in the system, providing automatic and stable operation of the water-supply installation.

According to official ITALTECNICA documentation, the PM5 adjustment range is 1–4.8 bar. The factory setting is 1.4–2.8 bar, the minimum differential is 0.6 bar, and the maximum differential is 2.3 bar.

The PM5 uses normally closed electrical contacts made from brass alloy with an Ag-Ni coating. The membrane is manufactured from NBR with a PA nylon insert. The terminal block has fully insulated live parts, while the cable clamps are designed to resist cable pull-out.

Rated current is 16(10) A, rated voltage 250 V, and protection degree IP44. The permitted fluid temperature range is 5–55 °C, while the ambient operating temperature is also 5–55 °C.

In ITALTECNICA's connection nomenclature, ML means “Long Male”. This version uses a 1/4" male hydraulic connection, with the manufacturer's catalogue indicating an approximate connection length of 39 mm.
