Danfoss TWA-A Thermoelectric Actuator 24 V AC/DC, NC, RA, 088H3110

Danfoss TWA-A 088H3110 is a thermoelectric actuator for automatic control of valves in heating and cooling systems. It is designed for slow valve opening and closing, helping to reduce the risk of water hammer while providing quiet operation.

The actuator operates on 24 V AC/DC and is supplied in an NC – Normally Closed configuration. This means that without electrical power the valve remains closed, while applying voltage gradually heats the internal wax element and actuates the valve.

The TWA-A version features a Danfoss RA connection, and the manufacturer specifies compatibility with RA 2000 and RA-C valves. Installation uses the Danfoss RA snap connection, so this actuator is not an M30×1.5 or M28×1.5 threaded model.

The actuator stroke is 2.4 mm, while the time for a complete spindle movement is approximately 3 minutes. A visual position indicator is integrated into the actuator, allowing the open or closed position of the valve to be identified.

Power consumption is 2 W and the protection rating is IP41. The model is supplied with a factory-fitted 0.95 m cable, and version 088H3110 is supplied without an end switch.

The permissible ambient temperature is 0…+60 °C. Danfoss TWA-A is suitable for radiator, hydronic underfloor heating and other hot or chilled water applications where simple and quiet ON/OFF valve control is required.
