HERZ Angle Ball Valve with Union for Manifolds DN25, Blue Handle, 1 2224 13

HERZ 1 2224 13 is an angle-pattern ball shut-off valve for HERZ stainless-steel manifolds, designed for heating and cooling systems. The blue T-handle provides easy identification of the return line and convenient opening or closing of the flow.

The nominal size is DN25, nominal pressure is PN25 and the connection size is G1". The construction combines a female thread with a union connection featuring a freely rotating nut and a 1" manifold connection nipple.

An EPDM O-ring seal is used at the manifold connection, allowing the valve to be connected directly to a HERZ stainless-steel manifold. No additional PTFE tape or other thread-sealing material is required at this manifold connection.

The valve body is made from nickel-plated forged brass CW617N according to EN 12165. The ball is made from forged CW617N brass and hard chrome plated, while the spindle and union components are manufactured from CW614N brass. Ball and spindle seals are made from PTFE.

HERZ specifies an operating temperature range of −30 to +150 °C, or +0.5 to +110 °C for water. A 25–50% ethylene- or propylene-glycol mixture is also permitted in accordance with the glycol manufacturer's requirements.

The DN25 angle valve has a flow coefficient of Kv 11.4 m³/h. For model 1 2224 13, HERZ specifies a length of 103 mm, a height of 56 mm and a weight of 0.77 kg. The angle design is especially suitable where the manifold connection must be redirected by 90°.
