HERZ underfloor heating actuator control module, 6 zones, 230/24 V AC, 3F79802

HERZ 3F79802 is a central electrical wiring and control-signal distribution unit for hydronic underfloor-heating systems. It provides a convenient central connection point for room thermostats and thermal actuators installed on the underfloor-heating manifold.

The unit provides 6 independent heating zones and accepts up to 6 room-temperature controllers. Commands from the individual room thermostats are distributed to the corresponding thermal actuators, allowing each room or heating zone to be controlled independently. A total of up to 15 thermal actuators can be connected.

HERZ 3F79802 can be used with 230 V AC or 24 V AC systems. The specified supply is 230 V AC ±10%, 50–60 Hz or 24 V AC ±20%, 50–60 Hz. The supply voltage, room thermostats and thermal actuators must be selected as a compatible system.

This version is intended specifically for heating. Unlike the 10-zone HERZ 3F79803 and 3F79804 units, it does not provide integrated pump logic, a heating/cooling changeover input or dew-point monitoring functions.

Two time/setback channels allow a common timer programme or night-temperature setback command to be distributed to selected room controllers. A suitable programmable HERZ room controller or an external timer can be used to provide the time programme.

The wiring centre can be mounted on a wall or DIN rail, making it suitable for installation in an underfloor-heating manifold cabinet. Spring terminals accept conductors from 0.2 to 1.5 mm², while cable strain relief is integrated into the housing.

The housing is manufactured from flame-resistant ABS plastic, finished in black RAL 9005 with a transparent cover. Protection rating is IP20 according to EN 60529. Permissible ambient temperature is 0 to +50 °C, storage temperature is -20 to +70 °C, and permissible humidity is up to approximately 80% without condensation.

The 230 V configuration uses a T4AH fuse, while the 24 V configuration uses a T2A fuse. Electrical protection class is II for 230 V operation and III for 24 V operation.
