HERZ Ball Valve for Circulation Pumps DN25, 1 2269 03

HERZ 1 2269 03 is a ball shut-off valve for connecting circulation pumps in heating and other building-services installations. The valve enables reliable shut-off of the flow and convenient connection of a circulation pump by means of a pump union.

The nominal size is DN25 and the maximum operating pressure is PN16. The system side has a G1" female thread, while the circulation-pump connection is equipped with a G1½" union. Internal threaded connections are manufactured according to ISO 228.

The valve body is made of forged brass CW617N according to EN 12165. The ball is made of forged brass, has a full bore and a hard chrome-plated surface. The spindle is manufactured from CW614N brass, while PTFE is used for the ball and spindle seals.

The operating temperature range specified by HERZ is −30 to +150 °C; when used with water, the permissible range is +0.5 to +110 °C. Heating-water quality must comply with ÖNORM H5195 or VDI 2035. Ethylene- or propylene-glycol mixtures of 25–50% by volume are also permitted.

Model 1 2269 03 has no integrated non-return valve and no thermometer. It is a shut-off valve and should therefore be operated fully open or fully closed rather than being used to regulate flow.

The valve is designed for installation at a central-heating circulation pump. The HERZ design with pump union simplifies installation, removal and servicing of the pump without dismantling the entire pipework system.
