HERZ Changefix 1778000 is a professional service and maintenance tool designed for replacing HERZ thermostatic radiator valve inserts with an M28 × 1.5 connection thread.
The main advantage of the Changefix tool is that the thermostatic valve insert can be replaced without draining the heating system. The tool operates using an airlock principle, allowing the valve insert to be removed and replaced while the heating system remains under pressure.
This considerably simplifies heating-system maintenance and repair because the system does not need to be completely drained, refilled and vented after the work has been completed. Changefix is particularly useful for professional heating-system installation and servicing in apartment buildings, commercial properties and other systems where draining the entire installation would be time-consuming.
With the separately available HERZ cleaning brush attachment 1778101, the valve seat can also be cleaned while the thermostatic insert is being replaced.
