HERZ air and dirt separator DN25, 1", with magnet, I112403

HERZ I112403 is a combined air, sludge and dirt separator with an integrated magnet, designed to protect water-based heating and cooling systems. The unit simultaneously removes accumulated air, separates sludge and mechanical contaminants and captures ferromagnetic particles circulating in the system fluid.

The separator operates according to the cyclone principle. Its specially designed internal chamber reduces the flow velocity and creates the conditions required for air bubbles to separate from the fluid. The released air rises to the upper section of the unit and is automatically discharged through the integrated automatic air vent.

Heavier dirt and sludge particles settle in the lower collecting chamber. These contaminants can be discharged through the ball valve located at the bottom of the separator, allowing convenient periodic maintenance without complicated dismantling of the heating or cooling system.

The integrated magnetic separator captures ferromagnetic particles, including metallic contamination and magnetite that can form inside heating systems. Magnetic contaminants can be separated without draining the complete installation.

An automatic air vent is incorporated into the upper section of the separator. It continuously removes accumulated air and helps reduce the risk of air pockets, circulation noise, uneven system flow and reduced heat-transfer efficiency.

The rotatable connection element allows HERZ I112403 to be installed in both horizontal and vertical pipework. The separator can be used in heating and cooling systems and installed in either the supply or return line.

The body is manufactured from dezincification-resistant DZR brass for durable operation in heating and cooling installations. Nominal pressure is PN10, operating pressure is up to 6 bar and maximum operating temperature is 110 °C. The separator is not designed for steam.

HERZ I112403 is suitable for water and water/glycol mixtures with a glycol concentration of up to 30%. The DN25 version has a 1" connection.

Continuous removal of air, sludge and metallic particles helps maintain efficient circulation and protects circulation pumps, control valves, heat exchangers, boilers, heat pumps and other components from contamination and operating problems.
