HERZ 1771250 is a linear electric actuator designed for automatic operation of HERZ 4037 series 3-way mixing and diverting globe valves in heating, cooling and HVAC systems. With a positioning force of 500 N, the actuator moves the valve stem according to commands from a heating controller or building-management system.

The actuator operates on 230 V AC ±15%, 50–60 Hz and is designed for controllers with switching outputs. It supports 2-point and 3-point control. This model does not have a 0–10 V proportional input or 0–10 V position feedback; those functions are provided by the HERZ 1771211 24 V AC/DC version.

The actuator stroke is 8 mm, with a full operating time of 120 seconds. This provides controlled movement of the 3-way valve for mixing and diverting applications.

The actuator incorporates a synchronous electric motor with electronic control and a magnetic coupling. Its maintenance-free gearbox can be disengaged to position the valve manually. Manual adjustment is possible using an SW6 hex key, making installation, commissioning and service work easier.

The two-part housing is made from self-extinguishing plastic. A reinforced plastic bracket and brass union nut are used for attachment to the valve. A fixed electrical cable with a cross-section of 3 × 0.75 mm² and a length of approximately 1.2 m is provided.

The protection rating is IP54 according to EN 60529. Permissible ambient temperature is -10 to +55 °C, permissible relative humidity is 5–95%, and the maximum temperature at the valve body is 100 °C. The actuator is intended for indoor installations and is not designed for unprotected outdoor use.

Installation is permitted vertically above the valve through to a horizontal position. Installation with the actuator suspended below the valve is not permitted.

Together with a HERZ 4037 valve, the 1771250 actuator is suitable for automatic temperature and flow control in heating and cooling circuits, mixing assemblies, boiler systems, heat-pump systems and other HVAC applications requiring automatic mixing or diverting of the medium. The HERZ 4037 valve is ordered separately.
