HERZ electric actuator for 3-way globe valve, 24 V AC/DC, 0–10 V, 500 N, 1771211

HERZ 1771211 is a linear electric actuator with position controller designed for automatic operation of HERZ 4037 series 3-way mixing and diverting globe valves in heating, cooling and HVAC systems. The actuator operates the valve stem with a positioning force of 500 N and enables precise control of the heating or cooling medium according to the signal from the system controller.

The actuator operates on 24 V AC/DC and supports a 0–10 V proportional control signal. In addition to continuous modulating control, the actuator can also be used for 2-point or 3-point control, providing flexible integration into different HVAC and building-management systems.

A linear or equal-percentage characteristic can be selected. The actuator automatically adapts to the valve stroke, and the operating direction can be reversed. A coding switch is provided for selecting the control characteristic and operating time.

The nominal stroke is 8 mm, while the operating time can be selected between 60 and 120 seconds. The positioning force is 500 N. A 0–10 V position feedback signal allows the control system to monitor the actual valve position.

A disengageable gearbox allows the valve to be positioned and adjusted manually without electrical operation. Manual positioning can be carried out using an SW6 hex key, simplifying commissioning and service work.

The two-part housing is manufactured from self-extinguishing plastic. A plastic bracket and brass union nut are used to secure the actuator to the valve. The actuator incorporates a synchronous motor and maintenance-free gearbox.

The enclosure rating is IP54. Permissible ambient temperature is -10 to +55 °C, relative ambient humidity is 5–95%, and the maximum permissible temperature at the valve body is 100 °C.

The actuator may be installed vertically above the valve through to a horizontal position. Installation with the actuator suspended below the valve is not permitted.

Together with a HERZ 4037 3-way valve, the actuator is suitable for automatic temperature and flow control in heating and cooling circuits, mixing assemblies, boiler systems, heat-pump installations and other applications requiring precise motorised control of a 3-way valve.
