Programmable thermostat DEVI / Danfoss ECtemp Next Plus, 16 A, floor + room sensor, 088L0121

Danfoss ECtemp Next Plus 088L0121 is an electronic programmable timer thermostat designed for electrical floor-heating systems. It can be used for both comfort floor heating and direct electrical heating of an entire room.

The thermostat can control temperature using its built-in room sensor and external NTC floor sensor. Three temperature-control modes are available: combined room and floor control, floor-only control or room-only control.

ECtemp Next Plus features an LCD display with white backlight and an advanced programmable timer. The weekly programme is divided into weekdays and weekends, with up to four temperature events in each programme.

Additional functions include AWAY mode, child safety lock, frost protection, temperature calibration, maximum floor-temperature limitation and selectable 12- or 24-hour clock display.

Room-temperature range is 5–35 °C and floor-temperature range is 5–45 °C. The default maximum floor-temperature limitation is 35 °C and can be extended to 45 °C according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Frost-protection temperature can be adjusted between 5 and 9 °C, with a factory default of 5 °C. Temperature calibration is available within ±10 °C.

Maximum resistive load is 16 A, corresponding to up to 3680 W at 230 V. Operating supply range is 85–250 V AC, 50/60 Hz.

The floor sensor is an NTC 15 kΩ sensor at 25 °C. Integrated sensor-failure monitoring switches the heating output off if the sensor is disconnected or short-circuited.

The thermostat is designed for fixed flush-mounted installation. The front measures 86 × 86 mm, visible depth is approximately 16 mm, total depth approximately 40.5 mm and in-wall depth approximately 24.5 mm.

Protection rating is IP30 and electrical protection is Class II. The thermostat is finished in white RAL 9010.

ECtemp Next Plus 088L0121 is a practical controller for electric floor heating where precise floor and room temperature control, weekly programming and switching of loads up to 16 A are required.
