VAREM MAXIVAREM LR vertical expansion vessel for heating systems 200 l, 1 1/2", 6 bar

VAREM MAXIVAREM LR 200 L is a vertical diaphragm expansion vessel designed for closed water-based heating systems. It compensates for the increase in heating-water volume caused by thermal expansion and helps maintain stable system pressure. The 200-litre capacity makes it suitable for larger residential and commercial heating systems, boiler installations and heat-pump circuits where this expansion volume is required by system calculations.

MAXIVAREM LR vessels from 50 litres are equipped with a replaceable membrane and screwed flange. This allows the membrane to be replaced when necessary without replacing the complete vessel. The 200 L model has a vertical construction with support feet for floor installation.

Model UR200471CS000000 has a nominal capacity of 200 litres, maximum working pressure of 6 bar, factory pre-charge pressure of 1.5 bar and a 1 1/2" system connection. The vessel measures 554 mm in diameter and 988 mm in height, with a packaging volume of 0.324 m³.

VAREM specifies a top system connection for MAXIVAREM LR vessels from 35 to 700 litres. Models up to 400 litres, including the 200 L version, use a galvanised-steel counterflange. The vessel is finished in red.

The permissible operating-temperature range with water is -10 to +99 °C. Water mixed with ethylene or propylene glycol is not the primary recommended application for MAXIVAREM LR. If glycol is used, the maximum permitted concentration is 20% and the maximum fluid temperature is +70 °C. MAXIVAREM LR is not suitable for potable water.

For the 200 L version, VAREM lists replacement membrane MB0150S4H00000000, galvanised counterflange SPCFL152ZN400000 and pre-charge valve ACVAL200PR000000.

With a capacity of 200 L and PS of 6 bar, PS × V = 1200 bar·L. Under VAREM's PED classification, vessels with PS × V above 1000 and up to 3000 belong to PED Category III and are subject to CE marking under Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
