VAREM MAXIVAREM LR vertical expansion vessel for heating systems 100 l, 1", 6 bar

VAREM MAXIVAREM LR 100 L is a vertical diaphragm expansion vessel designed for closed water-based heating systems. It absorbs the increase in heating-water volume caused by thermal expansion and helps limit pressure rise within the heating system. It is suitable for larger residential and commercial heating installations where a 100-litre expansion capacity is required by system calculations.

Unlike the smaller EXTRAVAREM LR vessels, MAXIVAREM LR models from 50 litres use a replaceable membrane and a screwed flange. This allows the membrane to be replaced when required without replacing the complete vessel. For the 100 L version, VAREM lists replacement membrane MB080S4H00000000, flange SPCFL191ZN300000 and pre-charge valve ACVAL200PR000000.

Model UR100371CS000000 has a nominal capacity of 100 litres, maximum working pressure of 6 bar, factory pre-charge of 1.5 bar and a 1" connection. Its dimensions are 450 mm in diameter and 730 mm in height.

The MAXIVAREM LR is a vertical vessel equipped with support feet. VAREM specifies an upper system connection for MAXIVAREM LR models from 35 to 700 litres, while the 1000 L version uses a bottom connection. Models up to 400 litres, including this 100 L vessel, use a galvanised-steel counterflange.

The operating temperature range with water is -10 to +99 °C. VAREM does not recommend water/glycol mixtures as the primary application for the MAXIVAREM LR range. Where ethylene or propylene glycol is used, concentration must not exceed 20% and fluid temperature must not exceed +70 °C.

MAXIVAREM LR is not suitable for potable water. It belongs to VAREM's heating range; potable-water and sanitary applications require a vessel specifically intended for those applications.

The 100 L MAXIVAREM LR is covered by PED 2014/68/EU conformity and VAREM's documentation according to EN 13831:2007. With a PS × V value of 600, this model falls within PED Category II.
