HERZ DeLuxe return valve 1/2", straight, matt black, 1372549
HERZ DeLuxe 1372549 is a straight DN15 radiator return valve with an elegant matt black finish. It is designed for installation on the radiator return side in hot-water heating systems and provides radiator shut-off, flow adjustment and hydraulic balancing of the heating system.
The valve features an integrated pre-setting function achieved by limiting the spindle stroke. This allows the water flow through the radiator to be adjusted according to the required heat output and helps achieve balanced distribution of the heating medium throughout the system.
The radiator connection is R 1/2" with a cone seal. On the pipe side, the valve uses the HERZ universal connection with a special socket suitable for a 1/2" threaded pipe or a HERZ compression connection. With the appropriate separately ordered HERZ 6292 compression union, the universal model can also be connected to calibrated 15 mm copper or soft-steel pipe.
The HERZ DeLuxe return valve enables the radiator return connection to be completely shut off. When both the radiator supply and return valves are closed, the radiator can be removed while the remainder of the heating system remains in operation and under pressure.
The pre-setting is adjusted after removing the protective cap. The valve spindle is first screwed fully clockwise into the closed position and is then unscrewed by the required number of turns according to the required kv value. The spindle is secured against accidental complete unscrewing.
The spindle seal consists of an O-ring located in a replaceable brass chamber. The O-ring chamber can be replaced during operation using a HERZ Changefix replacement tool. The valve seat seal is metallic and therefore highly resistant to wear. A screw-on protective cap provides protection against unauthorised adjustment.
The matt black HERZ DeLuxe finish makes this return valve particularly suitable for black and designer radiators as well as modern interiors where the appearance of the radiator fittings is as important as their technical function.
