HERZ DE LUXE TS-90 thermostatic radiator valve 1/2", reverse angle, matt black, 1792849

HERZ DE LUXE TS-90 1792849 is a DN15 thermostatic radiator valve in a special reverse-angle configuration with an elegant matt black finish. It is designed for radiator connections in hot-water heating systems and, when combined with a thermostatic head, automatically controls the heating-water flow according to room temperature.

HERZ officially describes the 7928 configuration as a reverse angle model. This body arrangement is particularly useful where the position of the thermostatic head and pipe connection needs to differ from that of a conventional straight or standard angle valve.

The valve features an M28 × 1.5 thermostatic head connection. It is intended for HERZ thermostatic heads with an M28 × 1.5 connection and visually matches the matt black HERZ DE LUXE thermostatic head. The thermostatic head is not included.

The radiator connection is R 1/2" with cone seal. On the pipe side, the valve features the HERZ universal connection with a special socket suitable for a 1/2" threaded pipe or corresponding HERZ compression connection. With the separately ordered HERZ 6292 compression union, calibrated 15 mm copper or soft-steel pipe can also be connected.

HERZ TS-90 is a thermostatic radiator valve without an integrated flow pre-setting function. During operation, flow is controlled by the installed thermostatic head, which changes the valve opening according to the room temperature.

The official HERZ hydraulic diagram specifies the same flow characteristics for the DN15 7923, 7924, 7928, 7958 and 7959 valves: kv 0.15 m³/h at 0.5 K, 0.32 m³/h at 1 K, 0.46 m³/h at 1.5 K, 0.60 m³/h at 2 K, 0.75 m³/h at 2.5 K, 0.80 m³/h at 3 K and 1.05 m³/h when fully open. HERZ specifies a maximum differential pressure of 0.2 bar for valve sizing.

The thermostatic valve upper part can be replaced using the HERZ Changefix tool while the heating system remains filled and under pressure. This makes it possible to replace the thermostatic insert or clean the valve seat without draining the complete heating system.

The spindle is sealed by an O-ring located in a replaceable brass chamber. This design minimises maintenance requirements and ensures smooth long-term operation. The HERZ O-ring set is 1 6890 00, while the replacement thermostatic valve upper part is 1 6390 91.

The supplied screw cap can be used to operate the valve during installation and pipe flushing. After commissioning, the cap is removed and an M28 × 1.5 thermostatic head is installed.

The matt black HERZ DE LUXE finish makes the valve particularly suitable for black, anthracite and other designer radiators. Matching thermostatic heads, return valves and connection accessories are available within the HERZ DE LUXE range.
