KALVIS K-5-6(8) 8kW solid fuel boiler
KALVIS K-5-6(8) is a compact volumetric-combustion solid-fuel central-heating boiler designed for residential and other small premises. Its compact dimensions make it suitable for installation in boiler rooms where available space is limited.
The boiler has a 25-litre fuel chamber and is designed primarily for wood logs. KALVIS also states that wood waste, sawdust briquettes and peat briquettes may be used. Firewood with a moisture content above 25% is not recommended.
Boiler temperature is regulated automatically. The construction includes a draught damper, ash drawer, fire grate, smoke damper and air draught regulator. The inner boiler-wall steel thickness is 5 mm. KALVIS provides a 4-year warranty for the boiler body.
Boiler output can be changed using a turbulator: output with the turbulator is 8 kW, while output without the turbulator is 6 kW. Efficiency when burning wood logs is 76%. One fuel load can burn for up to 6 hours depending on fuel type, moisture content, outdoor temperature and other conditions.
