KALVIS K-2-40 N is a multipurpose lower-combustion solid-fuel central-heating boiler with a nominal output of 40 kW. It is designed for heating residential and other buildings using wood logs and other solid fuels permitted by the manufacturer.

The boiler features a very large 200-litre fuel chamber. Fuel can be loaded either from the front or from the top. Maximum wood-log length is 45 cm, while one fuel load can burn for up to 10–14 hours, depending on fuel type, moisture content, outdoor temperature and other operating conditions.

Efficiency when firing wood logs is 82%. Boiler temperature is regulated automatically. The construction incorporates secondary-air supply and a secondary combustion chamber with a refractory-concrete catalyst.

The boiler includes smoke-exhaust, ignition and draught dampers, a fire-grate shaking mechanism, an emergency cooling coil and a heat exchanger that can be cleaned from both sides. Provision is also made for installing a smoke exhauster and a pellet burner.

The inner-wall steel thickness is 6 mm, and KALVIS provides a 4-year warranty for the boiler body.
