PROTHERM Ray 9kW electric heating boiler (v.14)
PROTHERM Ray 9kW (RAY 9 KE /14 EU) is a wall-mounted electric heating boiler designed for apartments, family houses and other hydronic heating systems. Its heating output can be regulated from 1 to 9 kW, allowing the generated heat to be matched to the actual demand of the heating system. The RAY 9 KE uses 3 kW and 6 kW electric heating elements.
The RAY KE series features continuous output modulation, automatic diagnostics and integrated weather-compensated control. eBUS communication enables compatible PROTHERM control systems to be connected for more precise management of the heating system according to indoor and outdoor conditions.
A high-efficiency heating circulation pump and an 8-litre expansion vessel are integrated into the boiler. Essential safety functions, including frost protection, are also built in. Digital controls provide straightforward adjustment and monitoring of operating parameters.
PROTHERM Ray 9 KE can also be used for domestic hot-water preparation in an external indirect cylinder. An appropriate connection kit with a three-way diverting valve can be used for this configuration. Domestic hot-water temperature can be regulated from 35 to 70 °C.
The heating-water temperature range is 25–85 °C. RAY 9 KE is designed for a 400 V / 50 Hz electrical supply and has an IP40 protection rating. PROTHERM specifies a recommended 16 A circuit breaker for three-phase connection and 50 A for single-phase connection. Dimensions are 410 × 315 × 740 mm and weight is 32.9 kg.
