PROTHERM Ray 24kW electric heating boiler (v.14)
PROTHERM Ray 24kW (RAY 24 KE /14 EU) is a wall-mounted electric boiler for hydronic heating systems with continuous output modulation. Maximum heating output is 24 kW, with output regulated from 2 to 24 kW in 2 kW switching steps. The RAY 24 KE uses four 6 kW electric heating elements. The official PROTHERM product number is 0010023676.
The RAY KE series features eBUS communication, automatic diagnostics, continuous output modulation and integrated weather-compensated control. With an outdoor temperature sensor connected, heating-water temperature can be automatically adapted to outdoor conditions. The boiler also incorporates frost protection, balanced heating-element loading and HDO signal control.
A high-efficiency heating circulation pump and an 8-litre expansion vessel are integrated into the boiler. Maximum heating-system operating pressure is 3 bar and the heating flow and return connections are G 3/4". Heating-water temperature can be adjusted from 25 to 85 °C.
PROTHERM Ray 24 KE can also be used for domestic hot-water preparation in an external indirect cylinder using the appropriate accessories. DHW temperature can be adjusted from 35 to 70 °C. PROTHERM also provides cascade connection capability specifically for the 24 and 28 kW RAY KE models.
RAY 24 KE requires a three-phase 3 × 230/400 V + N + PE, 50 Hz electrical supply. Maximum current is 3 × 36.5 A and the rated protective circuit breaker is 40 A. Electrical protection is IP40. Boiler dimensions are 410 × 315 × 740 mm.
