PROTHERM Ray 18kW electric heating boiler (v.14)
PROTHERM Ray 18kW (RAY 18 KE /14 EU) is a wall-mounted electric heating boiler with continuous output modulation, designed for hydronic heating systems in houses, apartments and other suitable buildings. Heating output is regulated from 2 to 18 kW, allowing heat generation to follow the actual demand of the heating system. The official PROTHERM product number for RAY 18 KE /14 EU is 0010023674.
The RAY KE series features continuous output modulation, eBUS communication and automatic diagnostics. Compatible PROTHERM controllers can be connected for more precise heating-system management. With an outdoor temperature sensor, integrated weather-compensated control can automatically adapt heating-water temperature to outdoor conditions.
The boiler includes a high-efficiency heating circulation pump and an integrated 8-litre expansion vessel. Its hydraulic and safety components include automatic air venting, pressure monitoring and safety functions required for reliable heating-system operation.
PROTHERM Ray 18 KE can also be used for domestic hot-water preparation in an external indirect cylinder with the appropriate accessories. Heating-water temperature can be adjusted from 25 to 85 °C and domestic hot-water temperature from 35 to 70 °C.
RAY 18 KE is designed for a 400 V / 50 Hz three-phase electrical supply. Maximum current is 3 × 27.5 A, while the rated protective circuit breaker specified by PROTHERM is 32 A. The switching step is 2 kW. Electrical protection is IP40. Dimensions are 410 × 315 × 740 mm and weight is 34.6 kg.
