PROTHERM Ray 6kW Electric Heating Boiler (v.14)
PROTHERM Ray 6kW (RAY 6 KE /14 EU) is a wall-mounted electric boiler designed for heating apartments, family houses and other hydronic heating systems. The maximum heating output is 6 kW and is modulated through six output stages from 1 to 6 kW, allowing the heat output to be matched closely to the actual heating demand. The PROTHERM RAY 6 KE uses two 3 kW electric heating elements.
RAY electric boilers are factory-equipped with the essential operating and safety components, a control panel and basic regulation. The boiler features an eBUS communication interface, continuous output modulation and integrated basic weather-compensated control. When an outdoor temperature sensor is connected, the heating-water temperature can automatically adapt to outdoor conditions.
PROTHERM Ray 6kW can be used both for space heating and, with the required accessories, for domestic hot-water preparation in an external indirect cylinder. The desired hot-water temperature in the external cylinder can be set directly from the boiler control panel.
The boiler incorporates a high-efficiency heating circulation pump, automatic diagnostics, frost protection and balanced loading of the heating elements. PROTHERM also highlights the quiet operation, straightforward controls and fast response of RAY electric boilers to heating demand.
RAY 6 KE can be connected to a 3 × 230/400 V, 50 Hz electrical supply and also supports 1 × 230 V, 50 Hz single-phase connection. Efficiency is 99.5%, the heating-water operating temperature range is 25–85 °C and operating pressure is 0.8–3 bar. The integrated expansion vessel has a capacity of 8 litres.
