Ferroli TOR 9kW electric heating boiler (GCMO10EA)
Ferroli TOR 9 is a wall-mounted electric boiler designed to produce heating water for closed hydronic heating systems. The model provides a nominal heating output of 9 kW and is suitable for residential and other appropriate heating applications. FERROLI specifies an efficiency of up to 99.5% for the TOR electric boiler range.
Boiler operation is managed by a microprocessor that controls heating-water production and progressively activates the electric heating elements according to actual heat demand. The software alternates operation of the heating elements to distribute operating load and improve reliability. A large intuitive digital display provides access to operating parameters.
The TOR incorporates a high-efficiency circulation pump with anti-blocking function, a 6-litre expansion vessel, automatic air vent, heating safety valve, water-pressure monitoring, pressure gauge and hydraulic bypass. Multiple safety functions and frost protection are also integrated.
The heating operating temperature is up to 80 °C. Minimum system operating pressure is 0.8 bar and maximum pressure is 3 bar, while FERROLI recommends a system pressure of 1.0–1.7 bar. Heating flow and return connections are G 3/4", with a G 1/2" filling connection.
The TOR 9 supports room-thermostat control and an optional outdoor temperature sensor with outdoor-temperature compensation. It can also provide priority domestic-hot-water production using an external indirect cylinder, with control for a three-way diverting valve and cylinder sensor.
