FERROLI SUN P12 N is an automatic pellet burner with a heat-input range of 30 to 55 kW. It is designed for installation on suitable solid-fuel boilers, enabling the heating system to operate using wood pellets. The official FERROLI SUN P N range consists of SUN P7 N at 13.7–34.1 kW and SUN P12 N at 30–55 kW.

The burner is equipped with an automatic pellet feeding system consisting of a motor and feed screw. Its integrated electronic control board manages burner operation and pellet loading, as well as the main components of a domestic heating system, including circulation pumps, a DHW three-way valve, system flow and storage-cylinder sensors, room thermostat or remote programmable thermostat. The microprocessor recognises connected components and automatically configures the control system.

SUN P12 N can operate in single-stage mode or with flame modulation over 5 power levels. Automatic ignition is provided by an electrical heating element and flame detection is performed by a photo-resistor. A flame-return safety thermostat calibrated to 85 °C is fitted as standard.

Pellet consumption ranges from 6.3 to 11.6 kg/h. FERROLI specifies wood pellets with a maximum diameter of 6 mm and maximum length of 35 mm. Required combustion-chamber depression is -0.2 mbar.

Electrical supply is 230 V / 50 Hz. Electrical input is 100 W during normal operation and 430 W during ignition. Electrical protection is IPX0D and dry burner weight is 13.5 kg.

The official dimensional drawing specifies a width of 250 mm, height of 337 mm and maximum overall depth of 490 mm. The boiler mounting flange diameter is Ø210–234 mm and the pellet feed tube diameter is Ø60 mm.
