PANASONIC Big Aquarea T-CAP M 20 kW air-to-water heat pump, R290, 400 V, WH-CME8L / WH-WXG20ME8

PANASONIC Big Aquarea T-CAP M WH-CME8L / WH-WXG20ME8 is a three-phase 20 kW air-to-water heat pump using natural R290 refrigerant, designed for larger residential buildings, apartment buildings, commercial properties, new-build projects and heating-system renovation.

The system consists of the WH-WXG20ME8 outdoor unit and the compact WH-CME8L control module. WH-CME8L is not a hydromodule and does not contain an integrated electric backup heater. It provides advanced system control and can control a separately installed field-supplied backup heater of up to 18 kW.

Big Aquarea T-CAP M uses natural R290 refrigerant with very low global-warming potential. The refrigerant circuit is hermetically sealed inside the outdoor unit, while only the hydraulic water circuit enters the building.

At A+7 °C / W35 °C, the heat pump delivers 20.00 kW with COP 4.80. At A+2/W35 output remains 20.00 kW with COP 3.39, while at A−7/W35 it still delivers 20.00 kW with COP 2.48.

At W55 °C, heating capacity also remains 20.00 kW: COP is 3.18 at A+7/W55, 2.08 at A+2/W55 and 1.90 at A−7/W55.

For an average climate, SCOP is 4.36 at W35 °C and 3.59 at W55 °C. Energy class is A++ / A++.

Heating operation is available from −25 to +35 °C outdoor temperature. Heating-water outlet temperature ranges from 20 to 75 °C, while cooling-water temperature ranges from 5 to 20 °C.

Active cooling is supported. At A35/W7 in comfort mode, cooling capacity is 20.00 kW with EER 3.02; in standard efficiency mode it is 15.00 kW with EER 3.61. At A35/W18 in comfort mode, cooling capacity is 20.00 kW with EER 4.79.

Nominal heating-water flow at A7/W35 and ΔT 5 K is 57.3 l/min. The integrated high-efficiency circulation pump has variable speed and a maximum specified input of 230 W.

The outdoor unit has a maximum current draw of 24 A and maximum electrical input of 15.1 kW. Power supply is 400 V / 50 Hz, three phase.

The WH-CME8L control module measures only 450 × 450 × 116 mm and weighs 7 kg. It provides advanced control functionality and connects to the outdoor unit via a 2 × 0.75 mm² communication cable.

PANASONIC WH-CME8L / WH-WXG20ME8 is a powerful 20 kW R290 solution for central heating systems, maintaining 20 kW heating output even at A−7/W35 and delivering water temperatures up to 75 °C.
