PANASONIC Aquarea T-CAP M Series WH-SDC0316M9E8 / WH-WXG16ME8 is a three-phase 16 kW hydraulic Bi-bloc / Hydrosplit air-to-water heat pump designed for space heating, active cooling and domestic hot-water production with an external DHW cylinder.

The system consists of the WH-WXG16ME8 outdoor unit and the WH-SDC0316M9E8 indoor hydromodule. The two units are hydraulically connected, so no refrigerant is brought into the building – the R290 refrigerant circuit is hermetically sealed inside the outdoor unit.

The Aquarea T-CAP M Series uses natural R290 refrigerant with a very low global-warming potential. Heating-water outlet temperature can reach 75 °C, making the system suitable for underfloor heating, radiator systems and renovation projects.

At A +7 °C / W35 °C, the unit provides 16.00 kW heating capacity with COP 4.89. At A +2 °C / W35 °C it still provides 16.00 kW with COP 3.30, while at A –7 °C / W35 °C capacity remains 16.00 kW with COP 2.53.

At W55 °C, heating capacity also remains 16.00 kW: COP is 3.20 at A+7/W55, 2.37 at A+2/W55 and 1.97 at A–7/W55.

For an average climate, Panasonic's 2026 combination data specifies SCOP 4.75 at W35 °C and 3.70 at W55 °C. Energy classes are A+++ / A++.

Heating operation is available from –28 to +35 °C outdoor temperature. Heating-water outlet temperature ranges from 25 to 75 °C, while cooling-water temperature ranges from 5 to 20 °C.

Active cooling is supported. At A35 °C / W7 °C in efficiency mode, Panasonic specifies 9.00 kW cooling capacity with EER 3.61.

Nominal heating-water flow at A7/W35 and ΔT 5 K is 45.9 l/min. The integrated high-efficiency circulation pump has variable speed with an electrical input range of 30–175 W.

The WH-SDC0316M9E8 indoor hydromodule incorporates a 9 kW electric backup heater. Indoor sound pressure is only 22 dB(A) in heating and cooling operation.

Standard hydraulic connection length is 5 m, maximum length is 30 m, and maximum elevation difference between outdoor and indoor units is 30 m. Water connections are 1¼".
