MIDEA HUGGE 16kW air-to-water heat pump with 240L hot water tank MHA-V16WD2RN8-E / HBT-A160/240CDS90GN8-E

Midea M thermal HYGGE is an air-to-water heat pump system designed for heating, cooling and domestic hot-water production. This combination consists of the MHA-V16WD2RN8-E outdoor unit and the HBT-A160/240CDS90GN8-E indoor unit with an integrated 240-litre tank.
The HYGGE range is designed to maintain high heating performance at low outdoor temperatures. According to the brochure, 100% heating capacity is maintained at A-15/W35, while a leaving-water temperature of up to 45 °C is available even at an outdoor temperature of -28 °C.
The MHA-V16WD2RN8-E has a nominal heating capacity of 15.50 kW and a COP of 4.61 at A7/W35. SCOP at W35 is 4.93 for an average climate and 4.55 for a cold climate. Energy efficiency class at W35/W55 is A+++/A+++.
The system uses R32 refrigerant, an EVI DC Twin Rotary compressor and an EEV electronic expansion valve. The heating operating range is -28 to +35 °C, while the domestic hot-water operating range is -28 to +43 °C.
Noise-reduction features include a Dragonfly bionic fan-blade design, high sound-insulation material, a fully modular two-stage vibration-isolation structure and a low-frequency response pipe. For the HYGGE 12–16 kW series, Midea specifies sound pressure of up to 46 dB(A).
The HBT-A160/240CDS90GN8-E indoor unit incorporates a 240 l hot-water tank and a 9 kW three-phase auxiliary electric heater. The hydraulic system shown in the brochure also includes an air vent valve, water flow switch, plate heat exchanger, circulation pump, expansion vessel and pressure relief valve.
