MIDEA HUGGE 16.0kW air-to-water heat pump MHA-V16WD2RN8-E / HB-A160CDS90GN8-E, R32

Midea M thermal HYGGE is an air-to-water heat pump system designed for heating, cooling and domestic hot-water production. This combination consists of the MHA-V16WD2RN8-E outdoor unit and the HB-A160CDS90GN8-E hydraulic indoor unit without an integrated storage tank.
The HYGGE range is designed for operation at low outdoor temperatures. According to the Midea brochure, 100% heating capacity is maintained at A-15/W35, while a leaving-water temperature of up to 45 °C is available even at an ambient temperature of -28 °C.
The MHA-V16WD2RN8-E has a nominal heating capacity of 15.50 kW at A7/W35 and a COP of 4.61. Maximum heating capacity is 16.72 kW at A7/W35, 15.85 kW at A-15/W35, 11.99 kW at A-15/W50 and 11.69 kW at A-20/W50. SCOP at W35 is 4.93 for an average climate and 4.55 for a cold climate. Energy efficiency class at W35/W55 is A+++/A+++.
The system uses R32 refrigerant, an EVI DC Twin Rotary compressor and an EEV electronic expansion valve. The heating operating range is -28 to +35 °C, while the domestic hot-water operating range is -28 to +43 °C.
Noise-reduction features include the Dragonfly bionic fan-blade design, high sound-insulation material, a two-stage vibration-isolation structure and a low-frequency response pipe. For the HYGGE 12–16 kW range, the brochure specifies sound pressure of ≤46 dB(A).
The HB-A160CDS90GN8-E is a hydraulic indoor unit without an integrated hot-water tank. The HYGGE hydraulic system shown in the brochure includes an air vent valve, water flow switch, plate heat exchanger, pump, electric heater, expansion vessel and pressure relief valve. The opening electronic control box and Flow-Ease water pipe are designed to simplify installation and maintenance.
