ATLANTIC Indirect DS VS 300 indirect water heater, floor-standing, 300 l, 896223

ATLANTIC Indirect DS VS 300 is a high-capacity indirect domestic hot-water cylinder with an integrated heat exchanger. It is designed to produce hot water using a boiler or another suitable external heat source and is intended for vertical floor-standing installation.

The commercial capacity is 300 litres, while the official EPREL product fiche for reference 896223 specifies an actual storage volume of 295 litres.

The cylinder is supplied without an electric heating element. If electric back-up heating is required, an optional ATLANTIC 3.0 kW Steatite dry ceramic heating element can be installed. The element is protected inside an enamelled steel sleeve and does not come into direct contact with the water.

The integrated spiral heat exchanger has a surface area of 0.66 m². At a primary temperature of 90 °C, a flow rate of 2 m³/h and a secondary temperature of 45 °C, exchanger output reaches 49 kW. At 80 °C and 1 m³/h, output is 16.8 kW.

Using the heat exchanger, the stored water can be heated to approximately 55 °C in around 38 minutes. Maximum permissible heat-transfer-fluid temperature is 90 °C.

The steel inner tank is protected by a high-quality enamel coating containing zirconium and a magnesium anode. High-density polyurethane insulation helps reduce standing heat losses and maintain the stored-water temperature.

Tank working pressure is 8 bar and heat-exchanger working pressure is 6 bar. ATLANTIC model 896223 has an energy-efficiency class B, with an official EPREL standing loss of 65 W.

ATLANTIC Indirect DS VS 300 is suitable for homes and heating systems with a high domestic hot-water demand. It makes efficient use of heat from the heating system while retaining the option of adding a separate 3.0 kW Steatite electric heating element.
