Midea Raynor is an air conditioner / heat pump positioned as a solution for the northern climate. It is designed for situations where not only summer cooling is important, but also reliable heating in cold weather, steady comfort and energy-efficient operation.

Raynor operates even at outdoor temperatures down to -40°C and can provide 100% full heating capacity at -25°C. This means confident comfort even when a standard air conditioner or heat pump may start to lose performance.

The unit combines a powerful Twin Rotary compressor, a high-density tube heat exchanger, triple anti-icing technology, Flash Defrost defrosting and AI ECOMASTER energy control. The result is a more stable temperature, fewer interruptions during heating and smarter electricity consumption.

Fewer heating interruptions and smarter energy use

Raynor uses triple anti-icing technology: a compressor heating belt, Polar Climate Chassis and a specially designed smooth heat exchanger fin structure that accelerates defrosting.

Flash Defrost technology alternates between small defrosting cycles and deep defrosting depending on the outdoor temperature. According to the brochure, this approach extends the interval between deep defrosting cycles, reduces heat fluctuations and helps maintain comfort.

The AI ECOMASTER algorithm predicts temperature fluctuations and heating load using historical and real-time data. It performs micro-adjustments, reduces energy losses and helps balance efficiency with comfort.

Indoor comfort: Waterfall Flow and Fireplace Mode

Waterfall Flow directs warm air toward the floor, where it rises evenly and heats the entire room. The 180° rotation provides fast cooling and heating while maintaining precise and gentle airflow.

Fireplace Mode is designed for rooms with a fireplace. When the set temperature is reached, the fan continues to circulate the air, evenly distributing fireplace heat throughout the room.

Durability built for long-term use

Prime Guard HYPER GRAPFINS protection is designed to improve corrosion resistance and preserve the unit’s performance for longer. The brochure states resistance to a 1500-hour neutral salt spray test, a 240-hour UVB test, a double graphene layer and additional protection against sulphur compounds.

The outdoor unit is designed for more stable operation during voltage fluctuations, and the patented dual-outlet solution increases the heat dissipation area by 15%.

Cleaner air and calmer sleep

Air Magic+ generates negative ions and, according to the brochure, helps eliminate 99.9% of viruses and bacteria, including E. coli, S. aureus, H1N1 and Enterovirus 71.

I-Sleep mode gradually adjusts the temperature. The changes are gentle enough not to disturb sleep while maintaining comfort throughout the night. The brochure also states quiet operation down to 19 dB(A).

The I-Clean self-cleaning function automatically performs high-temperature cleaning up to 56°C. The process includes freezing moisture on the fins, washing away dirt, heating the fins up to 56°C to eliminate bacteria and thoroughly drying the unit to help prevent mould and unpleasant odours.

Easier installation and maintenance

Raynor is also designed for easier installation and maintenance. It includes an improved mounting plate for easier alignment, a built-in spirit level, a connection position indicator and a wiring tunnel that requires no cutting.

The PCB design allows the electronic board to be replaced without removing the front frame panel. The improved fan motor service design allows the motor to be replaced without removing the evaporator. According to the brochure, this process is 72% faster.
