KOSPEL SV-500 Heating Buffer Tank 485 L, 6 bar

KOSPEL SV-500 is a vertical heating-system storage and buffer tank with an actual capacity of 485 litres. It is designed to store thermal energy in central-heating systems and helps stabilise the operation of boilers, heat pumps and other heat sources.

The buffer tank increases the volume of water available in the heating system, allowing generated heat to be stored and used later. This can reduce excessive heat-source cycling and help provide smoother and more stable operation of the heating installation.

The SV-500 is supplied without an integrated heat exchanger and is intended for heating-system fluid. The tank is manufactured from steel and is non-enamelled, therefore it is not intended for storage of sanitary or potable hot water.

The rated operating pressure of the tank is 0.6 MPa or 6 bar. To reduce heat loss, the tank uses 100 mm EPS thermal insulation, which is removable on this version. Manufacturer-specified standing heat loss is 83 W.

The SV-500 features several G 1½" heating-system connections, allowing flexible connection of different heat sources and heating circuits. Connections for temperature sensors and air venting are G 1/2", while the bottom drain connection is G 1".

The tank is intended for vertical installation. The KOSPEL SV-500 has a diameter of 854 mm including insulation and an overall height of 1761 mm. Its large storage volume makes it suitable for heating systems requiring a substantial thermal-energy buffer.
